Small cake

This little building down there is actually a cake. (In Emirates Palace) There was a small number 35 on the top so I assume that it has 35 levels. Who would do something like that?

He was faster

There are some things I will never understand: What do I do wrong? The driver of this car was a kid!

Hilton Abu Dhabi

Today I tried an classic italian restaurant which was located in the Hilton Abu Dhabi. The prices were nice. The food was average. All in all a little boring. Also the design inside the hotel is not what you expect from Hilton. I would not stay there.

School

It is not like I have never been to a school but my school looked different. This is a local school around the corner of my house.

Grocery

Its pretty amazing how organized these small shops are. They actually have everything you forgot to bring from your big supermarket of trust.

Alley

No matter how good you think you know your way around: There are always smaller alleys within your Block, between the Villas.

Rain?

No. This time its just washing the car to remove these nasty water spots.

The Mirror

Just found a Ferrari in the Mirror on my way home.

National Day

The 2nd of December will be the UAE National Day which makes the houses blink. (This one is the Etisalat building which is the national telecom company)

Its white

Right.... White seems to be _the_ color. All cars are white. Except mine. Does it tell a story? Dont think so....

Houses

I just went to our local grocery to get some candies and I passed these houses. There are not even windows. Unfortunately there are people living.

These guys are cool

... and poor. Hanging around at buildings and cleaning windows. Every floor you see a new story through the window but their salary is worse that you can imagine. Fair?

The sun is back

Today finally the sun is back and the temperature is nice. Around 25C.

Emirates Palace Valet parking

Dont know... I am always impressed when I go there.

Persian Cuisine

Today I went to the Emirates Palace to try the Persian Cuisine. A Restaurant called 'Anar'. I have to admit that this stuff is really great. These guys know how to use herbs. Strange taste but defentely great. Also the ambiente is much better than Burj Al Arab. The price too. Will do it again. Try it!

Wet day

Once again a wet day here. Its dangerous because people are not used to wet streets which causes lots of accidents.

That hurts

That really hurts. Why he didnt give it to me?

Shit happens

This happens when you park your 530i directely under the guys who clean the windows above your car. Its a mess.

Maybach

Maybach infront of Emirates Palace. I am never allowed to park there?!

No dogs?

I dont know what that means. Maybe its not allowed to put dogs in there. Honestly I _never_ saw a dog here anyway.

Carpet in Burj Al Arab

I though its worth to create a own Post for this one: This is the carpet in one of the most expensive restaurants in the world.
It looks like the carpet I had in my room when I was five.... No. Worse.

Burj Al Arab Lobby

Some pictures from the Burj Al Arab Lobby.

Waiting in the traffic

When you are waiting in the traffic its worth to have a look around you.

Car wash

I love that. 30 AED and the car is clean. Handclean.

Roundabout

This is the entrance of a traffic roundabout. What do these signs mean?! Since when I can go left in a roundabout. (I know its possible in the UK , Australia etc. but not here)
